Coaching & Mental training

What do Mindprogress and Yamina stand for?

– Caring about human and societal development while developing your mental abilities.

Just as we can train our bodies, we can train our focus, initiative, self-leadership, ability to collaborate, and mental readiness. These are abilities that shape how we think, act, learn, and lead ourselves and others.

Many people invest a great deal of energy in achieving goals and solving problems. Far fewer train the mental abilities that enable both quality of life and peak performance.

Develop what makes a difference

My work helps you develop the mental abilities and mindsets that enable you to grow, learn, and find flow — the state that creates both happiness and peak performance.

Greater self-awareness makes it easier to understand how your thoughts, emotions, behaviours, and habitual patterns influence your results. At the same time, we develop the abilities that help you focus on what matters, make better decisions, communicate more clearly, and meet challenges with greater confidence and agency.

When focus, self-awareness, and mental abilities grow stronger, something exciting happens — it accelerates development.

From insight to action

Development doesn’t only happen during our sessions. That’s why our work is complemented by mental training, reflection, and specific areas to focus on and practise between sessions.

We start with real goals, challenges, and opportunities. Experiences from everyday life become part of the learning process, making it easier to turn insights into action and create results that last over time.

You get a professional thinking partner who offers questions, new perspectives and — when it adds value — knowledge, experience and tools from performance psychology, mental training, psychological preparedness, communication, leadership, and organisational development.

This is what I’ve spent the past 25 years exploring and understanding.

We live in a time when the demands to perform are high, while many of our beliefs about performance are shaped more by culture than by research in performance psychology

That’s why my work is about more than achieving goals. It’s about developing a new relationship with performance and cultivating the mental abilities and mindsets that make it possible to grow, learn, and perform at your best over time.

As Sweden’s first female freediving world record holder, performance psychology speaker, and coach to leaders,
consultants, and athletes, I’ve spent 25 years exploring what helps people develop, collaborate, and succeed when it really matters.

Opinions from coaching clients

After several years of close collaboration and exchange, I am convinced that Yamina is one of Sweden’s most skilled coaches. She has a remarkable ability to quickly identify and bring awareness to the critical areas for development for each individual.
Throughout the process, she constantly balances challenge and psychological safety, enabling meaningful progress while respecting the pace each person can sustain. Yamina’s expertise is grounded in both extensive practical experience and a strong theoretical foundation, creating a high degree of credibility and trust. Her broad knowledge — spanning mental training, lean leadership, breathing techniques, personal development, and group dynamics — enables her to meet whatever situations arise in the coaching process. Since work, health, and relationships are always interconnected, effective coaching requires an understanding of the whole and how these different parts influence one another. In other words, a coach like Yamina.

Head of SSAB ONE, SSAB

Working with Yamina as a mental coach has been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. It has been invaluable to gain a fresh perspective on my situation and to have someone help me find a clear way forward. After our conversations about the choices and challenges I was facing, I felt calmer, more confident, and better equipped to handle them. With Yamina’s support, I’ve made important changes in both my professional and everyday life, and I’ve started using mental tools such as visualization and goal setting. This has made me stronger, both as a person and as an athlete.

Yamina has a unique ability to understand what each client needs and to adapt her approach with both empathy and flexibility. She notices the details without ever losing sight of the bigger picture. She combines a calm authority with a positive energy that is truly contagious. She is warm, attentive, and incredibly perceptive. I can recommend Yamina wholeheartedly.

Gold medalist in the SM Triathlon Long Distance

I reached out to Yamina because I wanted to rediscover the joy of competing. I had first met Yamina through my work, where she had professionally brought our already strong group together and turned us into a real team. So it felt natural to take the next step and reach out to her for support in my personal life as well.
Working with Yamina has helped me discover new ways of thinking and new paths forward. For me, the work we’ve done together has meant that I genuinely look forward to competing again. I now feel incredibly proud of what I’ve achieved — and excited about what I’m going to achieve in the future. And as if that wasn’t enough, what I’ve learned with Yamina has spilled over into other areas of my life. I notice myself using these tools and ways of thinking every day. It makes me happy and has had a real impact on how I feel.

I’m so glad I took that step and reached out to Yamina.

To me she has been a life changer!

I want to start by saying: wow!
Things started very intensely, with lots of positive results coming quickly, which ultimately led to a very successful season.
I came to Yamina feeling lost and discouraged. I had been working hard without seeing the results I wanted, and my motivation was starting to fade. She helped turn things around after our very first session.
One thing I found particularly impressive was Yamina’s ability to identify exactly what I needed and find the right solutions to get me moving in the right direction — always in a highly professional way.
The muscle relaxation technique was also surprisingly effective. It has helped me not only in stressful situations, but also with sleep and relaxation.
I honestly can’t think of anything negative to say. Everything we worked on during our three sessions had a positive impact on me.

Thank you so much!
