ABOUT THE SPEAKER YAMINA ENEDAHL
How can we perform at our best in a sustainable way?
That question has followed me throughout my journey. From being a scared and constrained young swimmer to becoming Sweden’s first freediving world record holder — in one of the world’s most mentally demanding sports, where the ability to manage thoughts, emotions, and focus is crucial.
In my talks, I combine personal stories with research-based knowledge. I take audiences on engaging journeys that challenge established ideas about performance and open up new perspectives on how we can think, lead, and collaborate.
For me, inspiration alone is not enough. That’s why my talks are usually interactive, practical, and grounded in the participants’ own everyday lives. When we get to try things out, reflect, and put words to our own patterns, something real begins to happen.
INSPIRATIONAL TALK
Three Performance Myths
– from illusion to real peak performance
We have been taught that performance is about winning or losing, measuring key metrics, and pushing through.
At the same time, modern research tells us something else. There is a gap between how we believe performance is created and what actually helps us perform better.
In this talk, I explore three deeply rooted performance myths that shape how we think, lead, and evaluate results:
That performance is about winners and losers.
That goals need to be controlled and measured to be effective.
That results require pressure, effort, and sacrifice.
I show how these ideas not only limit our wellbeing, but also our actual performance. Drawing on my own journey — from being a scared and constrained swimmer to becoming a freediving world champion — as well as many years of working with individuals and organisations, I invite the audience to shift their perspective.
From comparison to a focus on learning.
From controlled goals to meaningfulness.
From external pressure to an inner balance between body, emotion, and intellect.
When we change the way we understand performance, our results change too.
Our focus becomes sharper. Decisions become better. Collaboration grows stronger.
This is not simply a talk about performance. It is an invitation to bridge the gap between culture and research — and to start performing in a way that truly lasts.
Resultatet?
INTERACTIVE TALK
Less Effort - Better Performance
We live in a time when demands are increasing faster than our ability to recover.
So how do we do that without losing our energy, direction, or ourselves along the way?
This talk challenges the idea that performance requires more pressure and greater effort. The audience is invited to go beneath the surface — into the mental patterns that shape stress, focus, and decision-making.
Drawing on performance psychology and experience from one of the world’s most mentally demanding sports — freediving — participants gain practical tools for improving focus, managing stress, and building sustainable energy in everyday life
The result is a new relationship with performance — where less effort can lead to better results, and where people can sustain high performance over time.
INTERACTIVE TALK
When Learning Is Winning
– S– How to build a culture that truly develops people
We have been taught that performance is about winning or losing, measuring key metrics, and pushing through.
But what happens to people and results when the fear of failure becomes greater than the desire to grow? och resultat, när rädslan för att misslyckas blir större än viljan att utvecklas?
This talk turns that perspective on its head.
The audience is invited to explore the beliefs and assumptions that shape how we view performance — and how these, in turn, influence the way we lead, collaborate, and make decisions.
Through concrete examples, reflection, and interactive exercises, participants become aware of their own performance patterns. Together, we explore what happens when the focus shifts from results to learning — and how this creates greater psychological safety, courage, and better results.
The talk culminates in practical tools for building a culture where people dare to take risks, grow, and perform at their best.
LECTURE SERIES
Mental Tools with Yamina
This lecture series provides research-based methods for improving collaboration, increasing flow and performance, and can be delivered online, outdoors, or indoors.
The series is grounded in performance psychology and provides practical tools in mental training, time management, self-leadership, and psychological preparedness.
Inspiring stories, theory, and practical tips are combined with team-building exercises, personal reflection, and conversations in pairs and in the larger group. By first becoming inspired, then trying the mental tools in everyday life, sharing experiences, and being seen and supported, participants strengthen both their self-leadership and the cohesion of the group.
Between sessions, participants can continue developing their capacity for recovery and self-compassion through the Swedish mental training app Mindprogress Resor.
The goal is to create a culture where wellbeing, performance, and professionalism go hand in hand.
